so, is it worthwhile forking out $1k for a 7.8hp motor or should I just stick a $500 4.8hp motor in it and considering its a major expence

Replacement Warn winch motor
I finely cooked my ageing 8274 winch motor at terawhiti last weekend
, I've got a complete PTO winch that I'd like to put on but thats not going to happen for a while coz the exhaust will have to be shifted and the transfercase needs to be pulled apart to put the PTO drive gear into it etc etc... so that means in the interium I should fix the 8274 which which should be fixed anyway coz its no use for anything without a motor
so, is it worthwhile forking out $1k for a 7.8hp motor or should I just stick a $500 4.8hp motor in it and considering its a major expence
who can I get some prices off to find the best deal
