wanted 5 speed safari gearbox any one got one?theres one on trade me at the moment he wants 500 for it is that a good deal?

$800 is still a good price.
To reco this gearbox is approx $2k in parts alone. So any 2nd hand jobbie with low milage that you can get for less than $1k is a good find. Wrecker would want $1k for one regardless of condition.

yea i did a ring round of wreckers in otago and all wanted around the $1200 mark but got one out of a nissan altas even had the pto side plate got it for $700 ,found 1st gear, a little lower geared still does 2000 rpm at 100km in top gear could be worth a go cheer tim
