This Saturday at the Waimak (Chch)??

Post by petefj40 »

Just thought I'd see if any others are keen for a go at the Waimak this Saturday? God knows what restrictions they have planned for the area so why not make the most of it while we can?
Drop us a pm or txt.
It's more suited for beginners (like me). Could be good for a laugh? We gotta learn somehow.

Will do!

A note to those with years of 4X4 experience. If you can put up with us learners it would be great to have your help! It might even be good for a laugh.

just another note, some of us as learners haven't made it to full rated hooks yet, i have one on the front and a shackle through my tow bar which works fine however i am understanding that some may not be happy with me towing them with it, i always carry a spade because i don't expect people to bail me out if they are not happy with the setup. for guys without rated hooks i recommend the same, some may take the chance others might not. (only reason my hooks aren't all on is im having bars made up so suit)

Dave.
I LOVE the chevy V8's, big time.
I know it looks like the business. But I don't walk the walk yet and I'm not afraid to admit it. I might be more worried about looking like a dick if I get stuck  I normally learn the hard way.. I'm a good listener though. So having experienced 4X4 support would be awesome.

Please don't go upsetting the public and councils. We are always trying to manage public fallout from councils, the public and other 4wd clubs. Public relations is a big and ongoing thing with our sport.

Good idea guys, best to leave the sorting out of access to the reps, if it's locked or fenced off, rather than trying to find a way around it, use another site, I'm sure nobody can fence everywhere off. remember we all get tared with what one does :!:

my number is 0211420934. if the gate is locked or a fence is put up after jet boat ramp then we can get it from off tram road. i can give some demos on correct 4wd uses in the field. begginers mite want to look up the recovery bible on this site or even getting you hands on the 4wd handbook by ken sibly. they are great reads and have tons of useful info. but if like me you proberly learn best from practical experiance. there are alot of links online about learning to use your 4x4 to look up aswell.
