i have been told to use struts and springs out of a 5 door on my vitara cause apparantly they are a bit longer but i had a look today and they appear to be the same. The springs look a bit heavier though. I have flipped the top hat so far and it has helped a bit.

I did the same today & made a spacer for the hat once I put it all back together & went for a drive I found the wheels have come in at the bottom or is that out at the top, the length seems the same to me as well mine already had a lift in it so I left the springs but I will find out how much the camber adjust bolts cost will prob buy some tomorrow.
easey job wasnt it the other thing I want to do is drop the diff down havent looked at that part yet & a body lift, winch bumper, sid plats etc, etc, etc

i looked at the ones i have in a 5door and they look the same ,even the spring dia seems the same, a bit more than 14mm, the laurel springs with longer shocks are good in the back though use hc33 rear ones, i have probaly got another 100mm of droop left here

I did the same sort of thing, flipped the towers and put in camber bolts. If you want a cheaper way, try what the rally boys do. Grind out the top strut mounting bolt hole into a slot. Then add a good-sized flat-washer under the mounting bolt on each side. Set the camber up to where you require and tighten the mounting bolt, then weld the washers in place. Point to note: ensure the flat-washer hole is only just the shaft size of your mounting bolt, this helps eliminate play.
