Mitsubishi Parjeo Auto Hub Woes

Well after some new glow plugs, a new (second hand) glow relay with a dash mounted switch and a brand spanking new clutch (i guess im committed to this car now) plus a set of 32â€

If he can dig down to that switch (and it is the problem) maybe having a manual switch for it somewhere would be good that way you won't find the same issue again.

hay there mate, hopefully he dose find it. i had troubles with my auto hubs and ended up wireing an new switch to the vac/solinods that control them. so i have efetivly by-passed the add/4wd controller. easy to do, you just have to trace the wires back to the solinodes. if it is vac operated. i can show you how if you want and if your mehcanic cant sort it. :D

Yup i think it is vacuum operated.

Will leave it to the mechanic in the meantime - hopefully he has just put the leaver in the wrong way (hence not turning switch on)- if that doesnt sort it then yea a switch to the solenoid seems like the way to go. just gotta find where the solenoids are hiding now. my guess is somewhere behind the dash :roll:

you will proberly find the solinoids under the bonnet as thats where mine were. if vac operated then just follow the vac lines up from diff (if same as mine?) i dont know alot about them, but the internet is where i found all the info for my set-up.

About 3/4 the way down the page there is this

Vacuum Solenoid Valves
A solenoid valve is a fancy term for an electrically controlled valve, in this case controlling vacuum to the Front differential actuator. On RHD drive models, the vacuum control solenoids are mounted near the top of the inner wheel tub, near the master cylinder. Vacuum is needed both to open, and close the actuator. Each typically identified with a blob of paint, yellow and blue. (see picture).

And below that some info on the selection switch
Transfer Gear box (t-case)
The wiring from the switches on the top of the transfer gearbox can perish/harden over time and have a tendency to break. Treat them with care! Check for wiring for clean connections, continuity and possible short circuit. Where possible clean connectors with electrical contact cleaner or equal.
