Received this in the email today - thought I'd post it for all to see
President: Moose Ph 07 883 1567 or 021 337243
Secretary/Treasurer: Karen Morriss Ph 07 883 1567
7th August 2007,
Please find enclosed an entry form to our Speed Rally being held on the 16th September 2007. This event will consist of approx 20 timed hazards. The rally site is Roache Rd, Morrinsville, to find a map go to
http://www.wises.co.nz and type in Roache Rd.. It will be signposted from each end of the road, as this road leads to the local landfill, there are big REFUSE STATION signs at each end of the road, so you can't miss it.
This is short notice as we have decided to run this
rally as a fundraiser for our two club members, Brendan James and Graeme Kingstone, who will be embarking on the South Africian Challenge next month.
With this being a fundraising rally we have decided to let two drivers for the one vehicle compete. Therefore letting the driver and co-driver switch or just two drivers per vehicle, provided two entry forms have been completed. Each driver must be affiliated to the New Zealand Four Wheel Drive Association.
This event is ideally suited to club, bush or competition vehicles with fitted rollcages, fire extinguisher, helmets and 4 point harness style belts being the only requirements and of course brakes.
On completion there will be bbq sausages and steak sandwiches for sale. There will be no food on site so please bring your own food and refreshments.
We hope this cause will be well supported.
Regards
Karen Morriss
(Secretary/Treasurer)
PM me if you want the entry forms & I'll email them to you

I'm not sure - I'd have thought you'd be OK but give Moose a call - his Ph No was at the top of the original message.

Some stuff off the entry forms that may be of interest if your thinkin of entering
These items are to be checked by the competitor and initialled prior to signing indemnity:
Rollcage/Mounts/Welds
Body/Chassis(secure)
Tow Hooks/Front and Rear/HT Bolts
Seats(secure)
Seat Belts Approved Type(secure)
Crash Helmet Approved Type/Condition
Foot Brake Operation
Brake Hoses and Pipes(no defects)
Steering Box/Rack System(secure)
Steering Joints and Hoses(no defeats)
I got a few things on that list to suss out still like my front hooks and very dodgy steering

spoke to MOOSE (one of the orginisers) today and if its open top you need harnesses. if hard top then seat belts are ok, for the road going guys

more people = bigger turn out and more funds raised for the event

and roll cages can be sandwich plated so all my questions got answered in one call, good dude

...... probably drives a cruiser
so dixie you need to hurry up and get hooks front and rear so you can enter the VX bro

I think jet boats have a time period as do circuit racers etc. Get in touch with your local car club and see if anybody has some ready to sell.
