Going to do a 2" spring lift on my SWB GQ Safari this weekend. I have the springs, shoks & gearbox spacers. Alredy have a 2" body lift (geting 35's soon) is there eneything i should look out for when doing this lift?

Nope, two inch is a piece of cake, hardest part is lifting the front high enough to get the springs in and out, a fork lift comes in handy

How thick are the gearbox spacers? SWB, I dropped mine 10mm to get rid of driveline vibes. All of them are different though, some need more, some need less. Check your engine mounts while you are at it.
Cheers, Jeff.

After fitting the springs, shocks etc take it for a drive, the driveline vibs you get from such a lift come in about 80 - 90 kms.Mine had no vib until months later when i fitted rear 30mm coil spacers and i got a small one at 85km. 12mm Lexan spacers sorted this out easily.
Note : I have used Lexan with no issues but some would recommend Steel Spacers.

Handy info. I have got 10mm spacers, will start with that & see how it goes. Did you use a spring compreser to get them out or just jack it up?
Thanks.

No spring compressor, just take the shocks out and lift away. Just watch the diff breathers and the brake lines as you lift. I think from memory I unbolted the connection block on top of the front diff where the brake lines join.
Cheers, Jeff.

I am thinking of doing the same thing (2 inch lift) on my LWB safari, Is putting gearbox cross member spacers only needed on SWB's or do the LWB's need it to get rid of the vibes too ???
cheers

You should not need them with LWB's as the rear unis are not on as much as an angle as the swb's

Not normally, some SWB ones don't either. It varies from vehicle to vehicle. You just have to install the lift and try it but I'd say you'd be pretty safe in a LWB.
