It will be 24 volt and unless you run a converter it won't work. Sell the one you have got as it looks as if it has a PTO. 24v are alot faster at winching then 12v. Do not run anything off one battery as it will cause the other one to overcharge when the alternator is running and kill it. you can get converters from jaycar for about 70-80 bucks. I run two to power cb, prs, gps and phone charger up front with another in the back for floru lites whern camping and the fridge.

I scored a reducer from TradeMe for $65 landed in ChCh from Kiatia (have to check spelling) Auto Electrical. Its a continuious 15amp and its awesomely small with a wee fan mounted. We put it in behind the glovebox so its high and invisible and with the CB only drawing 3 amps it gives me room for something else.
Nice truck too dude, look forward to catching up on a trip soon.

The only diference between a 12volt and a 24 volt winch is the motor.
Yes you can run 24v through a 12v winch but they dont last long unless you get the motor modified.
If you have a pto keep it sell the electric or mount it on the back.
The pto is faster on a double line pull than the electric on a single (thats an 8274 high mount)
