safari td42 auto to manual conversion

got a gq patrol ute and just in process of mounting a safari chassis underneath it now safari came with an auto and i want a maual in it now what will beneeded to do this?ute is all set up to run manual.also will a auto transfercase fit in a manual?

Your post is a bit confusing. Are you saying you have a ute cab with all the manual accessories in it (i.e. clutch pedal, master cyl, gear stick covers etc) and want to put the Safari chassis under it which currently has an auto in it? If I've got that right, then its basically just a matter of removing the auto and bolting up the manual. Need to plug up the inlet outlet on radiator for trans cooler which would become redundant and a few small things like that.

Throttle position sensor from the auto would no-longer be necessary either.

T-case is the same between auto and manual.

yea mate spot on?what about the fly wheel?will a tb 42 fly wheel fit?how much for a new clutch kit?

Yup, you can use the t-case from the auto. Will need manual fly-wheel, but you should be able to get all those bits from the truck you're getting the manual from.

will a tb42 petrol fly wheel fit mate?the guy that has the g/box has no fly wheel

Not 100% sure. TB42 / TD42 have different number of bolts to bolt up starter motor (2 versus 3), so its possible there are some other differences to the flyweel...can't imagine why though.

As I said, not 100% sure is all.
