You will probably like the sound of this thing too.
This is right up my alley. Hemi V8 with a beautiful gear drive whine and a nice lumpy cam. Runs really strong too during the burn-outs.

Good point! But if I spent over 300k on a chevy and threw it in a Holden VE GTS would leave the GTR around a corner AND a straight line! :yukspit:

ENZED spent some serious money on the chevy v8 in their jet boat they went to a full billet aluminium short block (custom made everything), and it only gets 1000hp!
The thing is to get it relyable in a road car and able to be driven as a daily driver the technology is in the Japanese engines and in the standard block.
plus what they build becomes available for others to buy off the shelf so there is a lot of testing on anything they do, some mod's are even factory warranty acceptable!
What HP does your Chev put out at 5.7 litres?
What HP is a 4.0 Lexus limited to from factory?
What HP and Torque are they getting out of the new Toyota Diesel twin turbo? Again limited horsepower for factory Japan
The technology differences betweent the engines mean they cannot be compared Toyota and Nissan developed 4.0 V8's and put them in sedan's to get into the Aussie and NZ market for advertising they applied to put them in the Bathurst and other Holden vs Ford races but the rule books were re written to exclude them.
These were 4.0 against the 5.7 litres and both Holden and Ford said they could not compete? It can't all be in the chassis they built?

The fastest 1/4 mile time (not sure but I think there in the late 4 seconds now?) There's not a japper motor anyway!

But you're right. We are. I guess if a japper motor was faster in a straight line I'd have a japper motor in my 4X4. But they aren't and they just don't sound as good as my FJ40 or my Clubby.
Lets face it. The V8 will die soon, there isn't enough petrol in the world to keep em going. So the more hybrid cars I see on the road the better I feel driving my V8.

it would be interesting to spend same price as u did on a japanese engine and see how much power you ended up with, for example a 2.6 twin turbo rb26dett make pretty big power, i think you can make bad ass power which ever way you go, just comes down to personal choice, i think the coolest thing about your engines are the torque and sound, im not gona say one is better than the other caus i love them both in different ways

biggest thing is what your using it for and what you like, lets face it rally cars would be shit with v8's but once again thats another cup of tea.. and i dont even like tea

hey even the Rotary motor is an amazing thing!! How many cc do they play with? Not a lot, and look at the grunt they put out!!
What about the lastest turbo diesel motors?? They are outstanding! I'll find some youtube stuff that will blow you away. A big pickup truck doing a 10second 1/4!!
So yeah. I'm open minded (tho it wouldn't look that way)
