Quick question about Cruiser LSD. I'm looking at putting in a LSD in the front
Sadam said that they may not be that good to swap
Whats the general consensus?

lsd up front makes a big difference to traction, all that weight over the front axle is wicked

....not as good as a locker tho
locker in the back , LSD up front makes a good combo and is gentler on the CV's

Knew you would be the man, Sounds all good to me, problem being a rear locka costs to many $$$ at the moment, in time it will come

aah rod, a I missing something? the zuk is supposed to be the offroad vehicle isnt it? spend the money on it...... unless
the lsd is not costing much in which case it would be alright. More use in the back though so you can do the drifties betterer

Yes Tu, you are right on all accounts, it just come up. I would have one in the front and back

not as good as a locka in the back i know, but it would help with towing
Plus it would help when it goes to play in the mud

i run the locker in the rear and a nice tight lsd up front. Seems to work sweet, although you do get a little bit of a twitch in the steering if the lsd does "slip" But nothing scary and you soon get used to how it handles. Its only an issue in 4WD. As Wop said it is good insurance for CVs

Long term i will fit a locker in the front

but not before i've bought longfields

Book it in early so your engineer can get it done during his school holidays

While on the topic can I thread jack?
Thanks.
My truck had a LSD in the rear, its since been fitted with a locker. Will the rear LSD fit in the front? Some one mentioned that the front an rear diffs may be different? The LSD is still with the guy I bought the truck off as he forgot to get it to me but if I can fit it I'm gonna chase it up?

Yep it'll fit ok. Its only if you try and put it into a semi-floating rear axle it wont fit.

i run the same set up as h20.. made a huge difference to just having the rear lsd...
although my lsd is a bit naffed.. still, better than open diff..

the lsd will fit as long as you have a standard cruiser front diff. approx 1990 on they changed the front diff to the small up pinion ,ie 80 series front which is hilux size so if you have one of these your lsd out of the back wont fit

Well, its been a while in the making but it's in now. I have yet to drive in anger but on the road it's no different and the brakes have stopped pulling to one side (bonus!)
