another Welli newbie

Post by polcat »

Hi guys, come from the deep south but relocated to the capital about 12 months ago, have found the Wellington area excellent for the 4wd thing, been dong a few trips with family.
Have an Isuzu that has evolved over the past year, now reasonably capable of most things. known as POLCAT!

recently joined this forum and find it is really good, great depth of knowledge, look forward to seeing some of you guys on a trip or two.

Hi Stu. Welcome to the Wgtn gang

We do the family 4wding as well, but our kids are a still a touch younger - 2 & 3.5. They love it as well and I suspect that it'll only be a few years before we'll be having to buy them their first 4wd

Here's a quick rundown on the local trip calendar for you:
8-9 Sep - Terawhiti link)
16 Sep - Fielding (link)
6-7 Oct - Coasta Plenty in Pahiatua (link)
7 Oct - ORE Association Wellington training day (link)
20-21 Oct (Labour Weekend) - ORE Association Ngaroma Block, Pureora (map / link)

There may be others planned, and there will probably be others pop up as well. Just keep an eye on the "Planning a trip?" thread.

I'm the local rep for the ORE Association so if you have any questions or anything give me a yell.
