What eye dia, width... what pin length, dia... what open and closed lengths?...

Light valving or heavy valving... adjustable? Air, gas over oil, oil...

A few more details wouldn't go amiss :)

well they need to be the same as the ones that fit a ln model hilux eye dia isnt an isue as i'll get bushes to suit as for open and closed lengths the longer the better as their to go on to my offroader a 1985 daihatsu rocky. as for valving never thought of it as being a big deal. i was just after a second hand set as being a student funds are hard to come by lol

Just to add a bit here, longer doesn't necessarily mean better (I am talking shocks here  ). If the shock is too long, it will bottom out when collapsed in a cross axle situation - bad for the shock. Shock length has to match your spring/suspension travel limits otherwise they will be either too short (over extending) or too long (bottoming out) - both of which are not good for shock life.
