hi from northland (kerikeri)

hi i come from kerikeri and am loving the northland MUD its lovely and wet:) i have a 1989 suzuki 413 samurai. what have i done to it? nothing exept new tires 29" simex extream treckers and a snorkle. any sugestions on what would be a good upgrade next bareing in mind i have very little machanical experience. will have role cage put in soon:)(safty first) then il beef things up.

Welcome. I'm just up the road in Kaeo. Also have 413 but its currently in surgery. will have to catch up sometime

welcome aboard, the zuks are nice and light but the diffs can be fragile if you go lots of power and if you go big lift they can get tippy.

Getting hard to find a good one now.

Are you planning an exo or internal cage? if internal make sure you still have room they take up a fair amount of space. Exo's have a few rules they are a strong roof rack :)

Welcome, new2zukes to ORE, we're a great comunity here online, with lots of 'good bastards' willing to help out if you have any questions..

If saftey is a concern, you should look at installing rated towhooks, always a good idea if you need to be pulled out if ever your truck gets stuck :D

thanks for replys im looking at a internal only in case of a little fall or a big 1. i like the older shap zuks but i dont like the vitara, although if i got given one i wouldnt b dissapointed :D

thanks ye i got rated hooks front and rear all fitted with a 10mm bracket welded to chassis due to zukes having thin steel.

to answer your quesstion about what the next best mod is.... put a locker in the back ! that makes a zook rule !

is a lock right a rear locker if not whats the price range for one i can put in and out i dont want is permenantly in due to very bad turning, i no sum1 with a welded rear diff has a little trouble goin round corners

This Sunday Okaihau Hotel around 8:30 leaving at 09:.00 by my watch to go down the hill. Whangarei 4WD club first round of hte club champs BOI club members are invited to compete others invited to come and watch and maybe fill a seat. come and introduce yourself
