The NZFWDA conducted a survey over the last 3 weeks and the results are in. We had so many replies that the system was overloaded at one stage. Its good to see so many people interested in 4wding

As the compiler of the survey, I used questions that paralleled the questions posed by SPARC. Yes, most of them confirm what many four wheelers may themselves know but the NZFWDA needed to have that validated if we are going to make statements about our recreation.
Such surveys allow the NZFWDA to build representative data and we appreciate the effort from those who provided input.

The ministers of conservation and sport/recreation have tasked SPARC to lead a review of outdoor recreation and a panel of recreational representatives has been established.
As part of the "wish list" process, SPARC have asked many outdoor recreations so create a "position paper" as a basis on which to start the discussion.
They've outlined some common questions as a guide and those are what set the survey. The exercise now is to craft a position paper by Sept 17.
