what are the 2l luxes like? I know they are gutless like all hilux motors! I am looking at buying one for around three grand.
It will end up getting an engine swap later any way, looking at a supra conversion.

How olds this lux??
I'm in the process of doing one up ... an old 82 2L
or it was before I started
New chassi - old one rusted out
New wheels - old ones to small
New axles - they came with the new gear box so why not
New gearbox - old one worn out and to weak for new motor
New Suspension - well I'm doing everything else so why not
New motor
rebuild supra 2.8
Original .... cab and transfer case
would I buy another ..... NEVER!!
I have to admit buying a old yellow 4wd was not a good idea, its now been nicknamed the lemon... but if you want I could show all the spots to look out for on them
