4.5 diffs

Just wondering as a future mod, will 4.5 diffs in a mu be able to turn 35"s without putting to much strain on the transmission and engine?
4.88's gave me virtually factory gearing (speedo was spot-on). The 3.1 is a pretty strong motor, I think it would be fine with 4.5's
