I picked up my 'new' Range Rover at the weekend :D . It's a 1988 3.5EFi instantly nick-named 'Retro' due to the 'Savannah Beige' colour with brown on tan interior!

I love it though. Have already been to see Ross Calgher (Rover V8 guru) to get it running better with the view to putting a meatier camshaft in it.

Now, to start sorting all those annoying niggles.....

those guys worked my vitesse up on a full rebuilt great job,if u raise the plenum chamber 1 to 2"higher u should get alot more hps from the motor . a piper 285 cam goes great to as ive also got 86 vogue with 10.5-1compression and a piper cam and it pulls some high rpms .my red rangie 74 has still got standard motor at the moment but still pulls pretty well but increasing it to around 250hp will be nice

Thanks, did you get the piper cam from Ross Calgher?

That looks like a very early Rangie, and looks in very good condition for 1974! Whereabouts are you based?

Also, how did you raise the plenum? A different trumpet base?

Cheers,

Hugo.

the same one that I owned before you
If you replace the cam shaft ALWAYS replace the cam followers as these are prone to wear especially on these bionic dogs
