Hey guys

Just picked up a very straight 94 widebody terrano and looking to see what mods are recommended to improve performance and anything to be aware of when doing this sort of stuff.

Its not really gonna get a huge amount of offroad use but main purpose is to tow an IRB up around the far north and top of coromandel. However would be keen to make it go a bit quicker especially for day to day driving.

Will be doing a full service but was also thinking about replacing the air filter and maybe building a cold air box.

What about adding a bit more boost? whats the factory boost level and how well do these vehicles respond with a couple more psi added? And should I also be upgrading the intercooler or will standard cope ok?

Have yet to have a really detailed look at the motor setup but will do so in the morning.

Cheers for any advice you guys can provide.

Terranos ar bad for overheating, replace waterpump if not already done, reemove radiator and have professionally cleaned ie tank removed and rodded. Also fit a tranny cooler if its auto. I ran my 1990 on 10psi no probs, adjust fel to suit.
