SHEFFIELD MUD PLUG........DATE, TIME, LOCATION
Can we keep this thread locked down to just the relevant information for people wanting to go to the event and not all the extra bollocks, I'm sure everyone is not enjoying wading through that many pages just to get event details.
Heres what I know........Sheffield 23 sept
So if you know start time, have pics of maps, directions etc. please post them up.

Going by the map posted elsewhere, it's on Bulls road near the ford.
When heading up the main coast road (SH73), just prior to Sheffield itself you will come across a well signed intersection to your left marked Hwy 72 to Coalgate etc keep going straight on and notice the farm to your left, straight after that bulls road is on your left which is directly opposite the Waddington turn off and railway crossing, signed as pointing to Oxford and Rangiora (also Hwy 72). If you get to Sheffied itself you have gone a tad to far.
If you come up the old coast road go right to the end of it which ends at the Waddington railway crossing, turn left, over the crossing, over the main coast road (Hwy73) and straight into Bulls road.
If coming from Rangiora/Oxford way keep on Highway 72 right till you get to the said Waddington rail crossing. Go straight over the crossing, over the main coast road (SH73) and into Bulls road.
Bulls road is a shingle track, could almost be confused as a farm track if not looking carefully, I think it might even have a bit of a gate thing there. The is a large conifer tree (group of trees) just west of the road, leaves at a slight angle from SH73 and heads away from the road and toward the Melven hills. Often has rolls of Balege along the side of it but may not at present due to winter being almost over.
Update: Steve has just added the map above. Road to the lower right is Hwy 73 to CHCH. The yellow one straight to the right is the old coast road, the one up and slightly to the right is Hwy 72 to Rangiora/Oxford. Bulls road is marked

No they will let spectators in from about 0900. Comp starts at 1000-1030, most likely 1030. Got a call from the boys last nite, the course is more technical then last year

and it will only be cancelled if it rains like shit.
