Fuel injection

I'm wanting to convert my 84 hilux from carb to fuel injection. has anyone else done this.

84... so its an 18R... Or is it an early 3Y one... Both those engines have injected variants so it would be a case of swapping out the motors for the right one and just wiring in the computer - shouldn't be too hard if you get all the parts.

Normally the loom from the engine has all the neccessary bits to plug the computer straight in and then all you need to do is plumb up BATT, ACC and EARTH and the computer should have a tacho out feed if you need it.

Yea mate its a 3y motor, got all parts off a guy in PNorth.
Hope it will all go together allright.
