Canterbury Swapmeet coming upon the 13 & 14 Oct (12th also if you are a member).

Arranged by the Vintage Car club and held on their ground but for any of you that have been there before you'll know its not just a Vintage car thing. Heaps of stuff from lots of different vehicles and heaps of stuff totally unrelated to anything else. Worth it just for the day out even if you don't spend a cent. Lots of bargains if you can spot them and a number of ripoffs too :) bargins are best right when it opens (underpriced items) and right at close time (prices drop lots to just get rid of stuff and not take it home)

I plan on being there sunday as I get free entry by having my classic vehicle on display.

I'm not sure on the opening time - something like 8:30 or 9 from memory, through till 6ish I think, but people are normally there lined up waiting and there are cars for miles and cones all over the road directing traffic etc.

I'll see if I can confirm times.

Ive been many times...but unfortunately its turned more into a garage sale & less a car parts thing....but sometimes you can find something you need.
Also if you dont have warrant or rego on ya vehicle...drive something else..sometimes they have a check point checking for them.A mate of mine got done a few yrs ago when we went in his 56 Chev

I'm just checking now for you (and me)

Just got my ticket for entry the other night. Hoping for rain all day Sat and lovely sunny day sunday. That's selfish reasoning tho, If it rains Sat (like it did last year) it leaves more bargains for Sunday which is the day I'm there :) but it also makes it so busy.

OK answer is 7am.

Early bird gets the worm I'm told. I'm normally getting there about 8:30-9. Might aim earlier this year but to get there at 7 I'd be getting up at home at about 6ish and that's not really a weekend time to be waking esp when every night this week has been late.
