Can someone in the know please confirm the location and start time of the Deadwood Safari round of the National Trials in Wgtn this coming weekend (13 October)?
As far as I'm aware it is off
South Makara Rd, Makara, Wellington just before Terawhiti somewhere. I assume it will be sign-posted?

Great rally but very dissapointing day for us. Started with a speed section which went off without a hitch then blew the rear diff in the second trying to hop up out of a creek. Started the repairs in the pits but they came to an end after we could not remove the short side axle which is fairly well jamed in there.
Hopefully Wanganui will go better for us.

was talking to Jerry and wgtn newbie (good to meet ya steve?) and we were snacking on the usual chips and hot dogs when Jerry ran to his truck and removed the keys, muttering something about Turoa being on site.
