hello
take out about 300mm of diff oil out and top it up 300mm of engine flush drive around a few days untill you have done 500 to 1000km, just before you drop your oil make sure the old diff oil is hot drain and replace with good oil i use redline or penrite, seen this on another site i use, a lot people do it and i have done aswell gives the plates a good clean

These should be the oil, I assume any engine flush would do?

No good, I possible did not leave the cleaner in long enough, But i have rechecked it and wheels both turn the same way,
This time I'll make sure its in for a good 1000k's

Both wheels should turn the same way with an lsd. they will go different directions with an open diff. (i assume you are meaning jack both wheels off the ground and spin one and see which way the other spins?)
I was under the impression that the oil doesnt make too much difference.

Most diff oils now have the additives already. Without that LSD would have excessive wear and tear. Just drain it, clean internals with brake clean spray, let dry and refill with proper oil and additive. Its easier on a Jeep because we have to take the diff cover off to drain, so all internals are easily visible and accessible. I do this every year. Jeeps normally don't have drain plugs on diffs, just a fill hole.

One question I should ask, Now that I have discovered that I have a LSD
If the cleaner will not work, What is there in a LSD that would stop it working , There must be something in the LSD it's self that could have come adrift, But what !!!

Sounds like it IS working if they are turning the same way. If it isnt then its not likely that you have an lsd. how do you know it is one? if you jack up one side and put everything in neutral, can you turn that wheel? if its very hard to turn it then you've got an lsd.
Even if the clutch packs are extremely worn out its unlikely that the wheels will turn different ways. It is my understanding that that is not how an lsd works (I am quite often wrong though).[/code]

usually you take it to a diff place and they shim them up.
