I'm having some issues fitting the vacum operated actuator between the chassis on my 40 series. So looking to replace it...

Has anyone got a spare manual 4wd Actuator off an '88 LJ 71 landcruiser Transfer case :?:

Cheers 8)

I didnt think the LJ71's had a manual engaugement? You might have to find a 40 series split transfercase?

Im looking for something for manual 4wd aswell. The vacuum 4wd doesnt fit in my chassis. I have looked at a cruiser transfer, but would have to change the output shaft and front output housing.

I was thinking of making my own lever for it.

Doh, dont think so...

4wd Actuator is the unit that bolts onto the side of the transfer case. A manual actuator connects directly to the 2wd, 4wd High, 4wd low gear stick.

A vacum unit has a small frisby like unit on the actuator which sits horozontally and is fouling the chassis in my case :(

I'm pretty sure the t/c casings are different so it'll have to be a swap to a 40 series t/c to go fully manual selection
