trials classes

Post by skid »

A lot of you may not even know about the classes in the national trials series, but for those of you that do, I have a tricky question.

DO YOU THINK THERE ARE TOO MANY TRUCKS IN C AND D CLASS :?:

IF YOU THINK SO, THEN HOW DO YOU THINK WE CAN RECTIFY THE PROBLEM :?:
HOW DO WE SPLIT THE TOP TRUCKS FROM THE LOWER HALF OF THE CLASS. :?:

I've heard suggestions like chassis based and spaceframe classes

what do you guys think :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

that is not a silly suggestion
my 4wd is not a truck

old mercedes never die but sometimes they do need some love

older cars are good, mercedes are better, older mercedes are the best

had discussion with someone today on that one. could get tricky on how you define a chassis and some of the top trucks are still chassis based, so it wouldn't be achieving anything.

As an outsider (not a compeditor) I'd say leave it be

My reasoning is.... the more classes you have the more confusing and harder it is for Joe average supporter or viewer to understand.... just wondering round at events and listening to people, you hear enough confusion over what the differnce between C and D as it is now

i think splitting the new rigs from the older c and d class trucks would be a good idea.
seems to me a lot of big dollar rigs in c or d and a suzuki or similair with a locked diff and 4age wouldn,t stand a chance.

not everybody has 70k to spend,
a class for welded rear diffs, production based vechile with fiddles and whatever combination of diffs, engine etc would be good.
homebuilt low cost kiwi specails.

just IMO

maybe its a stupid idea that I've suggested, coz it looks harder than I thought.
Some of the winning trucks are still low budget, over 10 years old, chassis based and only a standard 4AGE, so removing them would be no good.

There are classes for production and production modified already.

there are only about 3 competitors from the south island that do the national trials. Last season they had the final down there and only about 50-60 people competed with from what i understand there was still only the 2 or 3 south island competitors competing. If more people in the SI was interested i am sure somthing could be done.
