well first you need to get a Competition licence which you can get from here
http://www.4x4trials.co.nz/competitorforms.aspx
then read & check the scrutineering forn also there
once you've got the licence etc sorted (well actually you don't really need to wait for the licence to come thru you could contact Jude Weatherly
http://www.4x4trials.co.nz/contactus.aspx to speed it up - or just get a day licence) then complete an entry form for the Wanganui round - available here
http://www.4x4trials.co.nz/event.aspx?Round=2
Hopefully I'll see ya there

That's a new one to me - BUT personally I'd do a fair bit of practise somewhere (& club champs are great for it) before I hit the national circuit.

you have to be affiliated to a club first. then when you apply for a licence, you need to get a club official to sign your license application. this will hopefully be someone who can verify that you are competent enough to be driving in a national rally.
once you've got all that you should be away laughing.
if you've seen it on telly and think you're up to it, then theres no reason why not.
see you soon

furgus practices all the time, but it doesn't help him much

cheers for replys.
I don,t think we would be a threat too the points at all, but confident would not be a burden to the event as well.
by playing with the big boys i think would gain valuable experiannce
Own a few pretty steep knarly paddocks and spent a few hours today and will again over the next few weeks getting a feel for the limits of the new truck
feel a lot better tonight about playing in the big league, my co driver has done a lot more 4wd then me and he pushed to try harder and harder stuff, some of it i wasn,t too confident first attempt but attacking it pinned now that i,m getting a feel for how it reacts to a failed climb
toyota diffs and 33,s very wide for a suzuki, 1850 wide and i think we are still a way off finding the limit on the side of a hill,
i,ve contacted local club and staring the process, doubt we will make next round but maybe round 3
(p.s washing a truck with a garden hose suxs!!!!)
