TD27 leaking diesel

Unfortunately my Nissan Mistral has recently developed a diesel leak while running. I thought I may he got away with the lower sulphur diesel because it is a 96, but apparently not.
Can anyone confirm whether they have one of the older VE rotary fuel injector pumps that are prone to leaking or whether it may be a different and hopefully less expensive problem to solve.

work mate had leaky injector pump in 92 or 3 terrano took it to gainsbury aut in dyers rd had it fixed in a day and he said was good price (hes tight)
it is wof issue leaky pump fail wof thats how he found out belive it is common but could be wrong

If it's TD27, then yes, it's Zexel VE rotary.
Apparently Milburn's are worth a try for a price.

Had mine done a coupel of years back. Cost about $140. there was only about 30-40 bucks of seals but the inlet manifold has to come off to get access so the labour can get up a bit.

You can probably get away with just replacing the top cover and throttle lever input seals, these can be done with the pump in situ, providing the pump on a TD27 is reasonably easy to access.
A decent garage should charge sweet FA to do this, compared to a full teardown and replacement of all the seals in the pump.

Once again, thanks Guys. THe wealth of knowledge and expirence on this site never fails to impress
meatc, Its good to hear it can be done at a reasonable cost because replacing them myself is just a bit past my skills.
and smurf182, I was hoping that would be the case;and that just a couple of seals would need to be changed as opposed to a complete overhaul.

Of course it's all dependant on if it is a seal leak or not, but hopefully that's all it is.
Keep us up to date on how you go.
We have done as late as 96 TD27's for this leak, so chances are high that is what it is
