yes ARB do do them!!!! i bought a front winch bar thursday, and gold is actually cheaper, in fact i could have made two out of gold for what i paid, and in fact if at time of ordering i had been told the price was plus gst i wouldnt have bought it. just had to grit my teeth when i paid for it.

ARB rock sliders $800 PLUS GST, PLUS FREIGHT even if i buy from my local ARB supplier. over a grand all in. i just havent got that kind of money for rocksliders, i am the same as most of you guys on a budget!!! only reason i bought the bar was becouse A, i have always wanted one and B, i sold all my motorcycle clothing on trade me.

*I* advertise them :P

Short or long wheelbase? I can probably make you a set... are you looking to weld-on or bolt-on?

All I'd need is someone down here with the same truck who also wanted a set - I'd custom make 2 sets at the same time and you'd both get them cheaper than normal. They'd probably be 50x75x3 RHS unless you wanted them out of tube, in which case I'd be thinking 60-ish-mm OD med or heavy wall... Could possibly do tube 'steps' out from the side of them as well...

Check my website and look under 'nerf bars' for an example of how they could look.

want bolt on really. maybe 50x75 with tube on outside as a step, kinda like side steps without the treadplate

347 9817 is the business number, probably the easiest way to get me is mobile tho - 021 637 600...

Muskie, is yours a SWB? Have either of the trucks got a body lift? That will affect where the outriggers go.

What sort of money are you talking about steve? Just a ball park figure for a SWB.

I would be thinking between 250 and 350 - depends how complicated it gets mounting them to the chassis... and the cost of pipe 'steps' may add to that as well... I'll really have to build a set up and see how they go. The Hilux basic ones I do are around $250 weld-on.

mine is a short wheelbase, no body lift, i have an exact picture in my head of what i want. i am an engineer by trade and could make them myself but i just dont have access to the facilities. i build aircraft daily but there are strict controls around aircraft so just cant knock a set up, really frustrating at times.

I did my time in the air force so I know what you mean working around aircraft... its a pain alrite to have all those tools just sitting there :)

And cost-wise I think you'll be surprised... I would expect around $30-40 tops to get them to you, probably closer to $30. No sweat tho, I'll probably still take the opportunity to make some...

4WD Accessories have made up a few sets for Safaris, both bolt on and weld on. I had 25mm square tube and attached the foot plate to that. Very strong and slide real good over rocks.

Ok no worries... Vince, when do you want to drop over? Next weekend or the following week would be good, I'll be tied up with the Hilux build all this coming week.
