Offroad-Express

Some of you are already aware that Ihave been putting the ROKMUT through it's 3rd repower.
It's up to 8 cylinders now, and sounds farking great.

Some pics from along the way:
The donor is a 5.0ltr injceted V8 holden engine and 4 speed autotrans.




Chopped the front of the surf (heaps easier to work on like this)



Designed and got made a custom adapter to join up the transfer case and GM auto.



Mounted it all in the truck



Decided to keep gaurds as removable units. By undoing 3 bolts and 1 nut, both the inner and outer gaurd comes off. Found a whole front clip off another truck, and gaurds off yet another one,New bonnet and dooors are also off different trucks. (real mix and match).




Then she runs. Sorry Wopass, borrowed your line. But although you can't see it, the whole POS shakes when you rev it! Coooolll!!!



And then today it moved hehehe




Lots to do yet. Like get the wifes zuk wheels off it, panel and paint, diff rebuilds, exo cage blah blah blah. But it's all good, and I'm not sick of it......YET!

Na seriously, when the bruises come out, I'll feel much better


Actually she was pretty cool about it, beacuse that means that it is moving and getter closer to the point where i won't be in tha garage every night working on it, and the boy and i will get out on some trips. This then leaves her at home on her own to do what ever she wants, and that is exactly what she is after
Gotta look at the bigger picture
