Hi every1
My name's Evan, i bought a 90 surf a month ago with toyota's all but glorious 2.4 turbo diesel

I haven't got any experience at 4wding but from the trips me and a mate have been doing its fun learning
Ive been looking round on this website a bit lately and found heaps of helpful stuff, expect some questions from me in the future, cya

you got rated tow hooks and a snorkel if so ashley gorge this sunday pr set up a trip should be a good day

only got rated hooks up front, still trying to find a way of mounting hooks on back, no snorkel yet

thats a bummer theres a training weekend on the 15th and 16th of december you should book your self in im going ever bit of noledge counts

mount it behind the towball thats where im going to mount mine just make sure that you strengthen upp you tow ball thingy:D

i toke my tow touge right off and mounted it in its place works a treat

whoa there !! dont mount tow hooks from there .. please read other posts or better yet ask, and every one will help with some sound correct advise ... welcome to 4wding and this site of varing expertise

my tow bar assembly is about to fall off so i have to re-weld the chassis bit and then add some suport:D

next time you are lying on your back under any car, truck, bus, but especially a 4wd, have a close look at how the tow bar is mounted. I'll bet that most have unrated bolts through the chassis, at best. The forces exerted on a tow bar towing a trailer are nothing compared to using a snatch strap. I have seen the results of a tow bar with a hook , come off which resulted in a helicopter ride after 6 hours in the bush with a leg broken in several place sand 12 months off work and a permanent limp.
