Got a head start after coming home during daylight.

Just got done abt 15 minutes ago tinting all the windows on my TJ. Its turned out really nice. I kept rear glass in one big piece. No bubbles. I'll take photos tomorrow in daylight.

I am painting black the chrome trim pieces around the head lights tomorrow. After that only non-black item would be the rims.

Can't change the interior yet. Maybe someday.

A mate bought a wrangler off another mate (whose brother is the guy i got to Pouto with every labour weekend, who has a Grand), he added 7inch flares with the extension. the second mate had built the sliders, and had them on, but now they dont fit... so the first mate had them in his shed and gave them to me. ill see what pic i can take now....

May have to fix the funny clicky sound coming from the right front before I go off road again.

daughter just left to go back to welly, so its time to relax, maybe a siesta would be good, before I do some shit around the house.

Where abouts is worsleys spur? Do you just carry on past those 'video surveillance' signs at the top of the hill?

big 4wd weekend for me.

Lead up to weekend saw the surf getting a wof and reg. Saw some big wheels on a rig with a holden V8 getting delt to fri night. Sat mission up worsleys where i broke a shock. was fun seeing crawlers lying in the recovery position awaiting first aid 8)

Sat night welded up shock (which didnt work, and i knew it wouldnt but i held my breath anyway). Had a beer or two with and watched the days footage and hiriklux putting the scratch on his door at the crawler clan bbq.

Sun got up real early assembled tools (as no other ore vehicle entered so my supply of shared tools dried up on that one) hooked up the LR to the surf and headed to the plug. Had an absolute blast, shocked ripped in two again. got 5th in my class (could have been a few dodge points going on, so that would have put me at 20th most likely  ). This event had awesome speed sections, In fact i was going so fast the wind blew one of my mufflers off 8) LR suffered a loburn mud hole fate right at the end of the day, but it doesnt matter as its going in the shed to be rebuilt into a winch truck  lucky goose, nibs and lilpigzuk were on hand for assistance in keeping the spring in after breaking the rear shock :8)

http://smaps.co.nz/nz/christchurch/cracroft/worsleys+road/

drive straight to the end of that road, shut the gate after you and have fun getting to the top, then turn around and come back down or head out via the road at the top to the sign of the kiwi.
