Big bore exhaust on a Toyota 3L (2.8)

Has anyone put a fatter exhaust on one of these? I put one on a 2LT and got a great result, but that might have been due to the turbo...

Interested in hearing what anyone has found.

Also, where is the best value exhaust place in CHCH?

They tell me it makes a big difference to any diesel vehicle.
I just pulled all my silencers off and put straight through free flow ones on and that made a big difference to the non turbo Safari.
