Post by muddy_munke »

Hi, After ringing lots of places etc, I'm struggling to find me a Flywheel for my 5M. Can anyone help me? Also a 7M Sump Cover would be handy too :D

P.M or Reply here...

You can use a 3Y flywheel, you just have to move 1 bolt hole a little bit
'85 Hilux crawler, 3rz, duals, 4.7's, 4.88's, ARB's, 30 spline Longfields, 6 stud SNR4x4 Histeer, Airshocks up front, coiled rear, 40" Iroks.

Its a flywheel - a large heavy solid mass spinning at high speed just beside your legs... get it slotted in a mill properly :) Its just one hole that is not quite in the right place, but still on the same PCD as the others, so it needs slotting by about half-a-hole...

Or I can get you a new one custom made, but they work out around $450-500, where you should be able to pick up a 3Y one dirt cheap (sold my last whole motor, fan to clutch for $150)

Ha, Yeah I was thinking that.. But its all good. I might have one lined up aslong as it doesn't have cracks or anything in it. If all else fails. I'll be in touch Steve :D
