Aftermarket temp guage (surf)

ok so continuing with the discussion on guages and exhausts on toyota surfs (thread 'turbo on hilux surf')
I have decided that (firstly) I will put in a aftermarket temp guage into my surf - some people will agree, some will disagree with this, but i think for the small cost its worth it.
My question is can the average man wire it in by himself?? or does it take a auto electrition?? If I can do it myself, does it come with instructions?, or can someone please give me a idea of how to do it.
cheers, im off to get it this week.

Why go with a guage, go for a digital one with an alarm function

What model Surf do you have? Automatic LN130s have a spare plug in their thermostat housing thats just perfect for an extra sender, otherwise just stick it where the factory sender goes - the factory gauge will no longer work but that's no great loss.

yeah really easy to do, just need a bit of wire to go from the sender to the gauge and since you know where to put the sender your sussed.

As far as 86-surf is concerned, that goes without saying.
