im pretty sure supra diffs are 8" and surfs are 7.5". supra irs diff centres fit in the back of an 8" 4 spider carrier?

Locker would be a lot easier.
Have had mates front IFS LSD apart and it looks like there was a bit of work done to make it fit.
The effort involved for the benefit gained, I'd go for a Lokka

82-85 Supra, MX73, most of these have a 7.5 inch rear diff.
If Diff code starts with an F not a G it is a 7.5 inch

yeah but he is talking about putting it in the front and when he is on the road it won't do anything with the hubs disengaged

Jerry, Please explain why a front Lokka can get interesting on the road? Its for a surf, it isn't full time 4wd. I'm sure as hell hoping no one is gonna be driving on the road with their front diff engaged...

There are some Pretty big pot holes around these days...... Not to mention the snow this time of year......

Your right though. I geuss as long as its in 2wd and the Hubs are disengaged there shouldn't be a problem.

That is all.

What about driving on gravel roads in 4High??

I geuss the auto locker wouldn't be engaged? But if it was, the tires would probably just slip on the gravel rather than grip like on the road and blow you hubs to smithereens....
I don't know for sure. Just trying to think logically.....

Im talking about driving on a gravel road in 4High with the ADD engaged in the front diff.

Say I was driving around a conner and one of my front wheels lost traction for a second on a rut, If a auto locker was installed would the front diff lock?

In theory this would cause you to lose the ability to steer properly  until the auto locker un-locked at its own discretion.

I much prefer the idea of an electric or air locker that is only on when you want it to be.
