The Te Awamutu Rotary Club would like to invite you to participate in their very popular 4WD Safari is being held on Saturday 15th March and Sunday 17th March 2008. This event is a significant fund raiser for the Rotary Club. All proceeds are injected back into the local community. You’ve been involved in the past; we’d love to see you back in 2008.
As with last year, we are returning to the Kawhia, Oparau and Hauturu districts, one comfortable hour’s drive west of Te Awamutu. This area affords true 4WD enthusiasts ample opportunities to view first hand rugged and spectacular New Zealand coastline, farmland, forestry and bush.
Based in the beautiful seaside township of Kawhia, the Rotary Club will supply superb routes orientated towards ‘shiny’ 4WD. This event provides a superb mix of farmland, beach, forestry and bush tracks on private land. Access to these areas is unique in that the Te Awamutu Rotary Club Kawhia Safari is the only group that has access to these pristine areas of New Zealand. So, to be part of this special experience is to be a privilege.
Meals A full range of home cooking meals will be available, supplied by the Rotary Club.
Accommodation. In a departure from previous events, accommodation will need to be arranged by Safari participants themselves.
