MUD TYRES

MUD TYRES hi guys in the stages of getting muds has any one owned
serengeti sl840 mud? or the nankanes? or if you know any one that have used them need some info on quality etc thanks

I run Sumitomo Serengetis on my Escudo (30x9.5R15) They seem to work ok in mud and clay so long as use use enough revs...
Not to bad on the road being about as noisey as any other mud tyre. I've found them a bit dodgy on wet roads but this could just be my bad driving skills. I only use them when going for a play so they dont get huge amounts of road miles on them. They seem to be wearing quite well also.

i have Sumitomo Serengetis 33/12.5/15's on my safari and have had them for a year now. they still have 1/4-1/3 tread left on them and have got me out of some sticky situations, also got me into some :lol: :lol: . but all good i have done about 20,000 road km's on them and alot of offroad driving. they are are good bang for buck and i would use them again. hope this helps mate.

i had 33s on my paj. seemed to go ok off road ok. have heard that they work really well when pressure is droped WAY down. i thought they wore a bit to fast tho. wasnt doing many kms on them. but they are cheap, you get what you pay for.

If there is 1/3 of your tread left & youve done 20,000 on them that means 30 from a set..id of thought that was wearing rather fast...Cooper garrentee 80K from a set

I agree, they seem to be wearing fast. I run BFG Muds and have done 43,000 kms so far and they are only half way worn. Expect another 20,000 before I will think about changing them. I don't want too little tread left on them (can't sell them that way and recover some of the costs).

its only cause im out upto 3 times a week offroading and you get what you pay for and the tyres only cost me $200 per tyre so they wern't real expensive. plus the way i drive off road, i get myself in situations where wheel spin is the only option to get out. :lol: :lol:
