Hi All,

I am in the process of setting this GQ up and I have foung a problem, On the road from Bleheim to Nelson the first hill was ok but when I started climing the second it would not hold the gear it keep changing to a higher gear, When I got over the hill it would not go into overdrive .
When it cooled down everything was ok and back to normal.
I have just had it serviced and was told that the trans was in very good condition, He thinks the past owner had it underwater, "Water in the computer"
After the service it was about 80% better.
Question;
1 Were is the computer
2 can it be repaired
3 Approx cost of replacement

Computer is found behind the LH kick panel on the front passenger's side. Get a replacement from a wrecker or TradeMe would be easier than fixing.

You can try taking the cover off and see if its full of crap,looks something like this

I have found it and taken the cover of, looks ok. wish it was full of crap I have put a posting on trade for one

i have a 2, one i keep with my truck all the time and 1 in my garage,dont know wot sort of money they go for, do you know how much they go for??

I have just had my auto trans serviced and was told that nissan auto's and the computers dont break down and are very relyable , Only water will damage them. They said I should get one for around $100 or I think his words were I would not pay any more,
