winch

Post by PigFmr »

just finished off putting my winch on,had to do some hacking and welding put some new gussets in, got it sitting as far back as i can, did buy a runva 12000lbs (24v)when we done this group buy on ore,but this asin 24volt winch came my way at a good price,so passed the runva on to my mate after it had arrived, just need to finish little bits off now , re mount my number plate ,and fit the other tow hook on,thinking about hard wiring winch into the inside off my truck but not that great on electrics, is it easy job or hard job?

Ciao Vince,primo job!
If you have da room under de bonnet mount the solenoid pack up there. Hopefully this will be well out of mucks way.You will of course have to run thick cables from the solenoid pack out to da winch motor.Da remote cable could be extended into the cabin also.Think the job out before you start and take ya time.Simple as.

wireing into the cab is easy you just need to tee off where the remote screws in and hard wire a toggle switch in the cab there is only 3 wires needed one earth or 12v depending how it was wired in to the switch and a return to the relay to give the relay signal an earth.

The extra wires are for the backlight or the in out lights.
