My 93 2.7TD Terrano, chugs out quite a bit of black smoke on accleration and so far i estimate a full tank is only getting me around 450km around town + a bit of 4x4 as well.

im thinking it should prob do a little more than that??

what i think is wrong - to my fuel being injected in??? whats your opinion on this and how do i go about fixing it??

cheers

clean/replace the air filter & replace youre fuel filter

that milage seems fine to me and its around town so i wouldent worry to much....

dont think black smoke is bad either bud,my old cummins kw was the same until i replaced the air filter...

diesels are air pumps and need good induction so start with the basics cos guarantee some tosser will put you crook...

good luck

How big a fuel tank you looking at?
I could be wrong but it seems excessive consumption to me if it is a 50+ litre tank.

my old 1kz surf 3.0dt with a massive tank 80 or 90 litres or something struggled to get 550 out of a tank, even open road...
so good luck
