So took the terrano on a touch of a mission and blew one of my front shocks, They were just the factory standard installed went to a place and they recommended Monroe Adventure shocks to be installed read a bit about them on this and apparantly they arent the best shock available. I tend to do mainly on road with some low end 4wd travel couple of times a week, mainly down goat tracks to beaches and back out again.
So yeah just wondering is it best to just go the monroes or is there something that would be more suited to me as said its a terrano 96 3.2L diesel
thanks

You get what you pay for!
I've had Munroe shocks in my old Terrano and they were waste of money. I've used a lot of different shocks and apart from going to high end rebuildable shocks it is hard to go past Old Man Emu (ARB) shocks. I have these in my winch truck and they have lasted for about 18 months use (excluding the time it was getting rebuilt). For a serious competition trucj that is pretty impressive. When I replace them I'll be going with a remote reseviour shock because of the way the comps are going, not because of poor performance.
I also have the same shocks (different length) in my tow wagon (96 GQ Safari, 2" lift 33's) and that handles very well on raod and does pretty well offroad, not that it goes offroad much!
If you buy a cheap shock, you will regret it. You'll never regret buying quality, you bank account might in the short term but in the long term they save you money!

Nissan Terrano coilovers, turboed VH45, Safari axles, and some other stuff.
