Anyone got any ideas what motors will bolt straight into a Suzuki ESCUDO 1988, 1600 or bigger.

I dont care if changes would have to be made, distributor, carb etc but I want something that will bolt straight up.

A 2000cc of some kind would be nice.

I hear a datsun motor will fit (2000cc)

i have the 1600 inj motor in my vitara,with extractors,better filter, electric fan,now getting close to 100 hp at fly wheel, next step mr2 supercharger on it.

I have read some rally guys bolted a j18 into there escudo . The j18 is the 1800 out of a suzuki baleno , the j20 is the 2.0 4 cyl vitara motor , so may be worth a look . I have not been able to confirm this yet .

Or find one I'm happy to be proved wrong if anyone has some kicking around.
