not going to make it without a starter lol! best part i guess is all new bits here and there mean less likely to fail out there on the trails.... in theory!!! a wrecker here has one for $250 but it will probably shit itself as well :( with a recond one at least its one less old bit...

Hey, in my defence, I was gonna give him a 2.5% discount, no freight and a free calander

best go the rebuild route me thinks

Toyota quoted me $6000 ex japan for a new radiator for mine

maybe chuck the 2nd hand one in whilst you get the other one rebuilt......otherwise PM Basics.....his missus works for a cruiser wrecker down here....

A good clean-out and some CRC won't revive it?
There is not much that can go wrong in a starter motor. Usually it is just a case of mud and crud either jamming up the works or preventing proper contact in the solenoids.
Not very familiar with Toyotas but does the starter make any sounds? Does it whir (whirring sound indicating the armature is turning) but not turn the engine, or is there just a click and no-one home?

USELESS!!! and we tried all the shortcuts to make it go :( i could overnite from japan ii like the idea of free calander HAHA! cheers for the ideas guys, looking like i will have to wait for the rallywood overniter next time round :( ( thats 2 ive missed to mechanical failures!!)

buy the 2nd hand one so you can at least use the truck and then organise to get the other one rebuilt, then you will have a spare afterwards

Like they say throw the second hand one in, its only the mud and water that wrecks them and it'll probably happen again whether its second hand, new or recond :?
