Had something similar when I lived in Aus. A USAS with 10 round stick mags or a 20 round circle mag.

I recon my Remington 1100 would fire 300 rounds a minute , If you could feed the shells in fast enough. Next time you pick up a slab of 12g ammo (250shells) imagine how accurate you think you would be with that hanging off the shotty.

300 A MINUTE = $120.00-----  ABOUT THE SAME AS YOUR V8 WOPASS,

I duno with my 5 shot i can't think of many times when i have let of 5 shots (dropped 5 ducks if im lucky) and there still be ducks in range, i think you'd either be shooting at random and missing alot or you'd be shooting alot of already dead ducks. It looks like its designed for riots etc where people are coming at you, duno about your part of the country but down this way ya let off one shot and the ducks are gone for miles. Very cool toy (guns aren't toys kids) but i can't think of what i'd ever use it for apart from demolition or impressing my mates

The snippet that is on you tube is off a program that is playing on discovery currently called "future weapons", is designed for the military and can use a variety of purpose built rounds, including explosive rounds, armour piercing, teargas and solid shot

you want to see the 12 gauge grenades that were made for the US military (a trial). Was supposed to be able to be used in these fast firing shotguns also but not sure if they will take them on. Better to aim and squeeze than pray and spray with a shot gun.

Basically two types, Anti light-armour (high explosive with point detonating war head and anti personnel. Both are around 3 inches long and are propelled by a small solid rocket (like in para flares but smaller) so have around 200m efective and accurate range (outside of that the tragectory is unpredicatble and depends on rocket burn time / speed.
The anti light armour is just that, it hits and makes hole and shrapnel (works on concrete and brick houses too) but the ani personnel one is mean. It has a charge that throws the bb's or what ever they are backwards in an arc when it contacts any thing. Picture this a hole or window the bad guys are firing through, they all take cover on the wall just inside the window, you fire a round through the window it hits the back wall and sprays backwards to where the bad guys are hidding - genius now you cant hide either. and of course if you dont have a window you load the ani armour one and make a hole.

And all this can be done with a std shot gun capable of taking a 3 inch magnum round. Mossberg 595 seems to be the flavour of chioce for the us "door knockers" at the moment and they work in those.

Extraordinary film of the 50 cal in action - have never seen a big animal disintegrate like that. Wonder if they were using some type of explosive tip? However just went to show this vid to someone else and it comes up as unavailable. Any ideas why?

Can be seen here too.
Theres a lot of debate as to whether or or its prarie dogs or humans, as it was originally listed as footage from Afghanistan

http://realcombat.blogspot.com/2006/09/ ... istan.html

Found this on another site too.....
In fact a professional sniper can hit a 5 inch diameter target at a distance of 1½ miles and record shots have been reported from US snipers killing enemy soldiers from a range of 2,500 meters or just under 1.8 miles. The angle that the gun is held, plus the amount of wind blowing, the general weather conditions and stillness of the target are all calculated to make this kind of shot.

The longest confirmed sniper kill was in Afganistan by a Canadian sniper with a barret light 50 cal snipers rifle at 2448 metres (a head shot insurgent with a sniper rifle taking pot shots - guess he wasnt good enough)

No that is reaching out and touching someone!

Is a person IN HIS OWN COUNTRY trying to throw out invaders (America) an INSURGENT or a PATRIOT?

Depends on who wins. The winner writes the history books after all.

I am going to stay out of the "US invaders" debate as that is a whole new argument and not for this forum (unless we are talking fuel prices because of it)

Ok, shall I bring it up in OFFTOPIC? would you like to debate it? No personalities, (cos I don't have one, ask anybody) just the moral issues and the semantics of debate?

I dont think I would like to debate or discuss this as you may be surprised at the one sidedness of the discussion (I may actually agree with you). I have my veiws on the War over there and would like to keep them to my self, lest I offend someone on here or my friends who have served and are serving over there.

Yeah why not, hopefully we get people that have actually served there to comment so its not all crap based on what we see on TV

Great question, however the world isn't nearly as black and white. Tyranny is tyranny no matter where it occurs; are you suggesting that it's OK to terrorize the people of one's own country so long as your evil deeds are dealt within your own borders? The Taliban may lack the international ambitions of the Nazis, but they are every bit the murderous totalitarian scumbags and are deserving of all the retribution the 'invaders' from the free world can muster.
