engine problem

ive got a 96 space cab hilux, its mant to be 2.8 desiel but when i brought it, they had replaced it with a 2.4 turbo (2l motor). it has no polution hoses running off it at all, can some one please help me and tell me where they run to and from

need more accurate info. which 2LT is it? (2lt-1, 2lt-2, 2lte)

2.8 never had "polution hoses" and early 2LT didn't either.
it would pay to be clear on what you mean by "polution hoses".
pics really help ;)

Do you mean the emmision control hoses - and assocated control gear ??
Also
Why do you ask ?? do you want to set it up again ? if yes ... Why ?
There is no mechanical problem so difficult that it cannot be solved by brute strength and ignorance.

honestly mate i couldnt tell you witch 1 it exactly is. on the head its got 2L than the engine number, where else could i chech to find out witch 1 it is. Its got 1 hose n missing the rest.my truck is real slow n doey and thought it mite help having them hooked up

it could also be a 2L (atmo) with a turbo fitted.

need pics.
