full face helmets look gay imo,
but then for some of us some facial reconstruction would prob benefit. :(
personally though i like the visabilty from a open face even though it doesn,t seem to help with thoose blasted pegs

much prefer the open face for wheeling as gives a better peripheral vision so you dont have to turn your head to look as much. and they are much cooler in the summer.

Open face for me, find it helps with the visibility in this sport, In speedway always full face unless it had been a hard night before, then full face and methanol fumes DONT MIX, ever tried spewing with a full face on?

that must make for an interesting race debrief. "so how is it that you ended up with vomit all over your windsheild? The guy in front hurled at you! Yeah right.

My vote is for the open face ones for visibility motor bike ones can be cumbersome and get in the way.

Definitely open-face if driving, but I always use full-face on a bike and when I used to navigate (rally).

Hate to tell you this Skid, but all THOSE boys use the full-face motocross type to keep the sun of their delicate complexions.

And they can't stand the feeling of mud on their slightly less manly jawlines!!

I wear the full face with sunglasses underneath so as not to get mud in my eye so I can see where the pegs are etc for trialing.

when you are dealing with monstrous muddy bogs, its a real bummer when you get mud in your eye and you can see a bloody thing.

But sometimes it still doesn't work as I can attest to after this bog last weekend..........

I think its entirely up to you and what you feel comfortable wering and how that style of helmet suits your particular application

It has to be open faced when trialling - it makes it far easier for the driver to cause damage to the co-eys delicate features when he/she has supposedly stuffed up - which is why Skid (as a professional co-ey) likes the full face style.
We prefer having Skid wear the full face style so we don't have to look at his ugly mug

Oh & it's far easier to have a smoke with the open face style :D

this is probably a dumb question but are bike helmets different to motorsport and/or motocross helmets?, also is the size measured around the head?, so most people seem to run with open face?
