Rear Swaybar Disconector

I was looking at a manual disconector on a LWB Safari a couple of days ago and wonderd on the possibility of putting one on the Terrano.
Sure I could make some sort of pin and shaft setup where you crawl under to manualy release it, but what do I do with the bits left hanging and swinging in the breeze and who wants to get back under there when its all muddy and shitty underneath?
The Safari setup lookd like an ideal one, its just going to need some thinking re mounting the bracketry to support the unit on the chasis rail. This one was a handbrake type setup.

Whats the opinions from the panel?

Sure I could leave them off, but seeing as I had to have them on for the cert, I will wait to see the plate before I think of removing them again.

No reason why you couldn't do it, its just a simple cable opperated system.

As for the crawl underneath system, you only dissconnect one end of the sway bar, which makes it redundant, so there are no loose dangly bits. Thats all the Safari system does, you pull the leaver and it dissconnects the drivers side of the bar.

What I ment by Dangly bits was the fact that when one manualy disconnects from underneath, there is a small loose end top and bottom that is un-retained, unlike the cable system as it is all housed in a sleeve or simiar, hence no loose parts exposed etc.

All you do is replace the bolt that connects the sway bar to its mounting strut with a pin and clip. You pull the pin out, it dissconnects the sway bar from the strut, the strut is held to the chassis and can't move, the sway bar is held to the diff and can't move.

This I understand but how does it affect the operation of the swaybar as it travels in an upward direction, past the hanging portion of the hanger?, or does it simply slide past it?

Im actuay hoping there is no mention of the swaybars on the cert plate when it arrives, if not then i'll remove them again.
