Are you guys likely to be doing an early start on Friday?
Going to try to drive as far as Waimate on Thursday night, and catch you for the first days driving, as I'd prefer to do Fri/Sat and visit family/head home on Sunday.
Just need to get the timing right.....oh and find an old tarp to hack up for the radiator.

Holy Crap! I'm not going to be able to make it... sorry all.

Something has come up, the Dunford clan is no longer going to be there... Tim, let me know if you want me to pay for the beds we booked... and Al, sorry... was looking forward to my first time pulling you out of a river :P

Have fun, stay safe, take lots of photos (DON'T forget to take photos of Tims truck - remember last time :P)

I'm in the middle of trying to get my starter motor out as it's given up on me.
Not looking good at this stage, but I may go to Nelson in the morning to grab another one if this turns out to be buggered. (have to get the bloody thing out first  )

There with bells-on; departing from North Canterbury 0700 Thursday morning (Mrs insisting on doing the reli round on the way down :( ... small price to pay for an Easter of bliss & piss  ).

Cellular 027-229-6867
UHF - will also set @ 19.

See you there - hope those tackling last minute repairs meet with success.

Cheers,

When I get time I will try to write up a report from all 4 days w-wheelin', as a side note we had up to 11 ORE member vehicles on any one day, it was certainly a brilliant trip :!:
Here's a good pic of Mr ORE himself  Image
We went out 4 days (but the photographer went to the warbirds for one)

Was another good central trip filled with mud, beer and broken down nissans Image

Engine went primo until the radiator started getting clogged. I guess the old girl will need a lift soon to get the radiator up out of the mud  Swanie didnt come off all weekend. Great to have one again. Spare wheel is underneith, just stare at the photo till you see it

She was getting warm climbing the big hills but the surf went well over the whole weekend. Could have quite nearly put it on its side playing to much in the ruts/water runs. Thanks to Al and tim for another great trip and also those who made it down who made the trip alot of fun especially round the fire (DaveM  )

Just need to sort out which pics are going on the front page 8)

Now have two alternators. Seeems the sickness is still striking some now that they're home, teach them to give me shit about piss crook   Glad people had fun, just a shame about the bad news some of us got sunday morning, definitely put a different spin on the trip for me personally. I am thinking about an exploration trip before xmas of the Manitoto plain, thats the Serpentine for those that don't know. Must of seen about 30 tracks off the main serpentine rd that need exploring.

We know you werent piss crook Al, you were buggaring off way too early to bed for that... I reckon you had a spot of underthethumbnesss and were off doin' the Retail Therapy bit in Alex. Well thats what our ORE spys saw anyway.

Seriously thou guys, Great Trip; Good folks, Huge wide open scenery, great to see the kids enjoying it and the wifes driving too. Good to play in the snow as well, cos I've been getting withdrawl symptoms.

Mike thanks for the shots on the home page, nice trucks! Can you PM me your snail address so once I've found that roundtuit called time I can post you my shots.
