True or false

Cheers Richard

A few questions about Rallywoods that Janet wants to know.

Are there tent sites ?

Is the sleeping all on benches ?

What cooking facilities are there ?

We are trying to decide what to bring. I think I will drive up on the Simexs which means I will have room for other stuff.

Cheers Richard

What cooking facilities are there ? Dinner is normally cooked over an open fire, Curly is the man for that, chops steak, roast veges etc, Brekky is done either barby or hotplate over fire, I normally take my little white spirits cooker just incase. I think it would be safe to say that seeing as you are guests from the mainland, that you will not need to bring any cooking gear, you'll be well looked after by the Welly crew, just bring stuff to eat off and with, stuff to sleep in and on, and your done

what he said....will drag up the gas bottle for the hot showers, byo towels soap etc , a gold coin donation for the gas per shower if you use it would be appreciated (as they are now 30 bucks to fill....

plenty of room in the hut and plenty of camping space, i'll bring up a couple of 20L water containers as the rallywoods brew is not safe to drink....other locals may want to bring some up as well..... if you drink speights then bring your own coz we don't drink it

if its easier get supplies in welly on the way.... we can meet you at the ferry place.....

If you are running a GPS this might be of some help

Turn left at traffic lights onto Grays Road at : -41.085416,174.868698
Turn right into Pauatahanui at: -41.101822,174.917954
Go thru’ village, keep straight ahead at Round-about, thru’ golf course to: -41.116644,174.951788 – Turn left onto Moonshine Road
Continue along Moonshine Road until you come to Bulls Run Road at: -41.091708,175.000416
Turn left onto Bulls Run Road and continue thru’ to the gate at: -41.083269,175.023413

If gate is open travel thru gate, and keep on main track until you meet the Green Hut at -41.089282,175.043042

Got this using Google Maps - wish I had a GPS

just a friendly reminder for those that haven't heard it ..... keep to no more than 50k on moonshine road, and 30k on bulls run road.........these roads are narrow, windy with lots of blind corners (and people coming at you on your side round the blind corners), please take care on the rallywoods road as well......[/size]

You have made me nervous, so this afternoon have started to pull both diffs out and check preloads and inspect for damage.

They haven't been out this year so a good time to check even though my new locker can't go in as the parts haven't arrived yet.

For Akas

Meeting at the Rallywoods gate at 9.00am, Drivers briefing at 9.15am leaving at 9.25am.

NO DRINKING AND DRIVING, THIS MEANS EVERYONE!

Not shiny friendly as some scratching of panels can be expected - grade 3 -4

May have shiny option as well, not sure yet!

$15 per truck + $5 per for non affiliated members/visitors.

Or if your just doing Rallywoods anytime I guess?

bring meat (or horse steak if you are Taz01  ), veges bring a handful for yourself and we will roast on the big fire thingy, breakfest is usually bacon and eggs etc, so bring enough to sort yourself out as well as snacks and lunch for the aka's trip.....

don't forget plate, cutlery etc as well....

you may want to bring appetizers whilst the main course is cooking...., ands if you are bringing kids bring what they eat as well as we usually get them out the way first as they usually start whining that they are hubgry first :D

Are we having another chilli cookoff as well    :D , as it appears its not clear that sadam won it..... , maybe have that as an accompanyment or a after dinner event....
